Overnight Residential Direct Support Professional $21.50 ($25.50 on weekends):

​

Employment Specialist: $21.50/hr  (additional $1.00/hr after becoming a CESP) 

Assist people with finding competitive employment with local businesses and developing marketable employment skills. Coordinate the intake of applications from Vocational Rehabilitation and the school systems, and obtain necessary release of information, authorizations and verify service funding for adults and transition students. Provide instruction in job readiness and job seeking skills.  Perform task analysis of specific jobs to identify required skills/abilities. Provide job coaching and on-the-job training. Conduct worker evaluations and assessments on the job. Provide or assist in transportation arrangements for people who need them. Assist with maintaining a cooperative relationship with area DRS counselors, job service, local schools, and other organizations to facilitate employment opportunities.  Assist with the implementation of the marketing plan to promote Career Connections services including conducting informational presentations for local and area groups, organizations, and professionals and establishing new employer contacts.
 

Ability to communicate effectively with professionals, other staff, and people served. Travel maybe required out of town to provide all necessary services. Must attend necessary trainings and become a CESP (Certified Employment Support Professional) after one year of employment.  Must be aware of and/or learn the various services available within the community, as well as state and federal resources.  Lifting requirements may exceed 50 pounds during emergency situations, medical emergency situations, and/or during use of behavior intervention.  Other physical activities may also include bending, twisting, climbing stairs, pushing, walking, carrying supplies, cleaning, stocking, and doing laundry.  

Associate’s degree in human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.  Experience with vocational training and/or placement is preferred. Hours are for this are position are generally Mon-Fri days but may vary, depending on the employment needs of the people being supported.
